About the program
Primary care nurse practitioners provide local care to people of all ages. They assess patients’ health, follow up on common health issues and stable chronic diseases, and help improve access to care in the community. This program develops advanced nursing skills and prepares students to work with other professionals while taking on a leadership role in the organization of care.
Successful completion of the master’s degree and a specialized graduate diploma is required to practise the profession; both programs must be completed simultaneously.
