About the program
This palliative care program is intended for licensed practical nurses who want to enhance their professional practice. It develops the skills required to provide appropriate care delivered with compassion and sensitivity to people at the end of life or with significantly reduced independence. Students learn to develop appropriate care approaches, provide compassionate support, and contribute to the comfort and quality of life of the people they support.
This course is reserved exclusively for:
• people who hold a DVS in Health, Assistance and Nursing;
• members of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ);
• OIIAQ members with relevant experience working with older adults or in long-term care.
